It's been way too long!

Lots to catch up on...where to begin? We celebrated our 2 year anniversary on July 11, I finally finished cosmetology school July 14, and then headed to Florida with Kevin's family for vacation the following weekend. It was a lot of fun. It was so nice to be on vacation and not worry about returning to school when I got back. I also had a birthday while we were there. Kevin and I headed out on our own to go shopping:) Miss Saylor ended up with a lot more than I did on my birthday but I was so happy to be able to get her some things. I go to the doctor tomorrow to check up on her so I will post some pictures and give an update on her and my pregnancy then. We just got back from Florida yesterday and I have had a long day of laundry, cleaning, and planning meals for the week. That's another post in itself. I am trying to cook more now that I am home at night. I started cosmetology school 2 weeks after getting back from our honeymoon. My poor husband has been without a wife since we've been married. I am so excited to be home more. With my cooking, I'm not sure if he will like me being home or not:) I will hopefully post about that soon too. Another thing I'm into recently is pinterest. I am hooked. I downloaded the app and looked at it daily on vacation. What a great website!!! For now, I am going to bed and will be back tomorrow with my 24 week post. Third trimester here we come!!!

22 weeks

Total weight gain: This week I feel like I have gained a pound or two. I guess we'll see in a couple weeks when I go back to the doctor. At least it's all in my belly so far!

Sleep: I'm still sleeping pretty good and getting up only once a night to use the bathroom.

Food/Eating: Still taking tums pretty regularly. At least they seem to work.

What I miss: My clothes! I love to shop and I love to get new clothes. I cannot justify spending a lot of money on clothes that I will only wear for a few weeks. I have done a lot of borrowing from friends and my sister-in-law. I hope these can get me through the next couple months. After christmas I plan on getting some new things. Until then, I will satifsy my shopping urge on all things pink and ruffled for Miss Saylor:)

Looking forward to: Vacation! We are headed to Florida and I can't wait to relax by the beach. Once we get back, I will start planning Saylor's room. I can't wait to see our office turn into our daughter's room. That will make things seem so real!

Best moment of the week: Seeing her heartbeat again! We saw a pediatric cardiologist Tuesday and he looked closer at the heart to make sure everything looked normal. My doctors like to take every precaution possible because I am diabetic and considered 'high risk.' I'm not sure if I mentioned this before or not but high blood sugars can cause all sorts of problems in pregnancy. The main area affected being the heart. In our last ultrasound, they didn't see any area of concern but wanted to get a second opinion to be sure. Everything looked perfect and right on track! They will do another EKG on her heart once she is born and the heart is fully developed. The doctor was so nice and I really liked how he reassured us that everything looked perfect on Miss Saylor. I love any chance I get to see her!!!

21 Weeks

Sorry for these iPhone pictures. It is just easier. I promise soon I will start to use a real camera:)

Total Weight Gain: Still right on track. 9 pounds. I don't think I have gained any since my last appointment.

Sleep: Like a rock!

Food/Eating: It is getting harder and harder to eat these days. I sit down to eat and think I am starving...turns out, I can only eat about half my meal at a time. I have to wait about 15 minutes to finish it. I have found that it helps if I stand:)

Movement: This little girl is a gymnast! I can't wait until Kevin can feel her too.

What I miss: Maybe eating the way I'm used to. It gets hard to regulate my insulin when I don't know how much I will feel like eating. Other than that, nothing! This pregnancy (so far) has been enjoyable. I will revisit that comment after spending a week in the Florida heat at 6 months pregnant:)

Looking forward to: Putting Saylor's room together. I have ordered a few things and I am waiting on them to come in. I will start on the room in August after vacation.

Best moment of the week: Buying a few sweet outfits for my little girl. With the 4th of July sales, I just couldn't help myself.

20 Weeks

Total Weight Gain: 9 pounds so far. I sure hope things stay this way:)

Sleep: Still no complaints!

Food/Eating: Still wanting fruit.

Movement: This little girl never stops moving. She never sleeps. Her mommy and daddy sure do cherish their sleep so I hope she learns before her arrival:)

Gender: We are having a sweet little girl. Saylor Rose Didio! Here is her very first doll.

What I miss: Nothing yet. Still loving being pregnant and feeling great!

Looking forward to: Starting Miss Saylor's room and registering for all the things she will need.

Best moment of the week: Seeing her sweet face in the ultrasound and hearing that everything looks perfect! She was stubborn at first and moving all around. It took what seemed like forever for them to get all the pictures they wanted. When it came time to reveal her gender, she turned her back to us and crossed her legs. Hilarious. I can't wait to meet her!

Old wives tales that were true for me:

-When holding my wedding band over my belly with a string, a circle meant girl and a line meant boy.
-Girls steal their mother's beauty. I have never broken out so much in my life! It's a good thing she's totally worth it.
-Heartbeat over 140 says it's likely a girl.
-Fruit and sweet cravings meant girl for me.
-The chinese gender chart was correct (this time).
-Myan tale: add age and month of conception (26+2 february=28) Even indicated girl.

Thanks for all your continued prayers and support. We are so excited to meet our sweet little Saylor!
