12 months

I can't believe my baby is one already!  She has been the biggest blessing to us.  Saylor now has 8 teeth!  She will eat most anything.  We got rid of our bottles and we use all sippy cups now.  She didn't mind at all.  No more formula!  She is doing better sleeping.  I think her teeth have been bothering her.  We usually have one bad night a week.  She has been going down around 9pm and waking up about 9am.  Most nights, she makes it all night in her own bed.  Not too bad!  This month, we had our first halloween.  She was a lion...with a bow, of course:)  I think she enjoyed it.  I am so excited to celebrate her birthday.  Her party has been so fun to plan.  I hope she enjoys it!  This past year has been so fun watching her grow.  I can only imagine what next year holds.  We are so blessed to be Saylor's parents and she is loved more than she'll ever know!

11 months

In one month I will have a toddler!!!  Where has the year gone?  We are getting really excited for her party!  She changes everyday and I am looking so forward to the holidays this year with her.  Lately, she has been eating more and more table food and less of the baby stuff.  I refuse to spend any more money on formula so we have started to incorporate milk.  She is doing well so far.  She still hasn't taken steps on her own but it should be any day now.  She can stand on her own but hasn't actually stepped.  It will come soon enough I'm sure.  She is still on and off with her sleep patterns.  It's getting better.  I'm thinking it's maybe teeth.  She still only has 4 teeth and I think she'll have the next 2 within the month.  She is so much fun and I can't wait to see what this next month holds:)

10 months

Saylor is pulling up on everything and attempting to walk. I bet she'll be pretty close to walking by my next post. She is eating all kinds of table food and doing great. We can take her to dinner and she'll last about an hour. After that, it's best we excuse ourselves for fear of a meltdown. I can't believe how big she has gotten this past month. One thing she LOVES is her baby. I bought her a doll a few weeks ago and she takes it everywhere. She will give it a hug and love on her. It is the sweetest thing. As far as words go, she says dada, mama, baba (which could mean bottle, ball, or bye), and jabbers yaya all the time. She has learned to wave and it is so funny. It has a strong resemblance to Miss America if you ask me:) Seriously though, this is my favorite age so far. It is so fun to watch her come into her own personality. At this point, I have do doubt that she'll be the life of any party. She is still staying with my mother-in-law and my mom through the week. It makes me so happy when she sees her other cousins. She literally lights up! She thinks the world of them and tries to do everything they do. I can't wait to see them grow up together and see what kind of trouble they get into:) 3 of them are 11 months apart so there will definitely be some fun times ahead. I know some of my favorite memories were with my cousins growing up and I can't wait for her to experience that. The past 10 months have gone by so quickly. I can't wait to see what the next couple months have in store. We are now in full party planning mode around here!!!

9 months

18.5 pounds (50th percentile)
26.875 inches (25th percentile)

We are officially crawling everywhere.  I have a dare devil on my hands.  Saylor can pull up on anything and thinks she can walk already.  She will see somethings that distracts her and will decide to take a step in that direction.  Newsflash sweet child of mine, you cannot walk yet.  Your little leggies aren't quite strong enough:)  She now has 4 teeth!  Two top and two bottom.  Still eating and still sleeping like a champ.  Lately, she has realized that if she wakes up in the middle of the night, mommy and daddy's bed is much more comfortable than her crib.  She has learned to stand up and yell for us to come in and get her.  She is very headstrong and won't stop until she gets what she wants...which is usually mommy or daddy holding her.  Oh the joys of being the first/only child:)  I know it's just a phase but secretly, I enjoy cuddling during the middle of the night (as long as it doesn't become a habbit).  We went to the doctor yesterday for her 9 month check-up and it went really well-UNTIL the shots.  The shots weren't terrible but the finger prick was the worst!  Her face turned bright red, she held her breath and then let out a scream that I had not heard before.  I think she was mad that we held her down more than anything.  I know it didn't hurt THAT bad.  Poor baby.  Not to worry, we headed straight to the mall and got her some shoes.  Her first pair of real shoes!  They are pink 'see kai run' maryjanes and are probably the cutest things I have ever seen.  She's not so sure what to think of them just yet.  She has the smallest foot I have ever seen, which is why she is just now getting a pair of shoes at 9 months.  They are size 0 meant to fit a baby 0-3 months old.  The funny thing is, these will probably fit her well into the winter.  Haha.  Saylor is such a happy baby and brings such joy to all of us.  Her personality is starting to really show and she is becoming so much fun.  We are now in full party planning mode for her first birthday.  Where does the time go?

...until next month:)

8 months

Wow, 8 months!  We don't have any stats but we go to the doctor at 9 months.  I can't wait to see how she has changed.  Saylor now can say her m's, d's, g's, and b sounds.  She mainly says dadadadadadada and spits at me if I even suggest she try to say mama:)  She will army crawl and roll to get anywhere.  She can finally sit on her own and is now starting to pull up on things.  We are lowering her bed this weekend.  Speaking of her bed, she is now a belly sleeper.  Usually by time I get to the monitor and turn it on, she has already rolled to her belly.  We have been to the pool a lot this summer and she LOVES it.  She will float for hours as long as she's fed.  We have now started puffs and she seems to think they're a little funny tasting but I think she'll learn to love them.  She has her 2 bottom teeth and is working on her top 2.  So much has changed in a month,  I can't imagine what I'll write next month!
