Welcome, COTTON COLORS!!!

My mother-in-law recently gave me a Happy Everything wreath from Cotton Colors. I am obsedded with everything they make. The best part about their stuff is that you can buy attachments and change the look. Right now, I have a chalkboard attached to the top of my wreath. I will soon be getting the heart for February, a shamrock for March and so on. There are tons of attachements to choose from. I just love all of their things!!!

Wishful Wednesday

Kelsey at The Seattle Smith's hosts a Wishful Wednesday topic every week. This week it is "I wish my hair was_______." I thought this was so apporpriate for me being that I am in hair school right now. I have read a lot of other people's posts about this and of course everyone wants the long, thick, voluminous locks. I too would LOVE to have hair like Carrie Underwood, Reese Witherspoon, or one of the Victoria's Secret models. The truth is, you can! As long as you are willing to spend the THOUSANDS of dollars that they have on their extensions. No one's hair is that long and thick with all that body. Usually, IF your hair can grow to be that long, it will look really thin on the end. It will also be lifeless at the top because the length will weigh it down so it won't be able to hold any sort of curl. Extensions are definately the way to go. I would LOVE to get them someday. I have always dreamed of having long hair. I have tried to grow mine out forever and I feel like it just breaks off on the ends and never gets any longer. I know it's from all of my over processed blonde but I wouldn't have it any other way:) I plan on taking prenatal vitamins soon in hopes that it will help. Don't worry, I don't plan on becoming pregnant any time soon but when it comes to hair, I will try almost ANYTHING! Do you guys know of any tricks?

2009 Wrap-up

WOW, I can't believe 2009 is over!!! What a year:) The most memorable moment was getting married. My whole year consisted of planning for the big day and then cleaning up afterwards. By cleaning up I mean, getting the house in order, moving in, and re-organizing everything. Overall, the best year of my life yet. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us. We had a great Christmas. Both of our families are all in the same city so we were super busy. We started the day before Christmas Eve and didn't stop until the day after Christmas. Between those days, we made stops at 10 places. We had a great (but busy) first Christmas together. On New Year's Eve (day) we decided to bite the bullett and purchase a king size bed. We had been thinking about it for a long time now and decided to take some Christmas money to put towards it. This past week I have spent most of my time rearranging things in the house. We moved our bed and furniture into the guest room. Here is a start below. It still needs throw pillows, artowrk for the walls, and window treatments.

I found this table at Z Gallerie (love that place) and used it in the family room.

I wanted to post this picture because these are the BEST candles EVER!!! One candle will smell up the entire house within minutes. If you have ever been in Anthropoligie, these are the candles they burn. There are only 2 places locally (that I know of) that sells them...The Pet Station (Norton Commons) and Collection (Westport Village)

I hope everyone has a great 2010!!!

In need of additional seating...

I constantly feel like we have a ton of people at our house. Between our families and friends, our house is rarely just the two of us. With that being said, we need more seats for people. We have a big couch and an oversized chair. Other than that, they have to pull chairs from the dining room/kitchen area or sit on the fireplace. While I was out doing my post christmas shopping, I found these at Pier One. I though they were super cute, they go perfectly in my house, and they were $49 (50% off)!!! They were surprisingly sturdy and pretty comfortable. Thoughts?
(This is the picture I send to Kevin... "Pleeeease, can we buy them?")
