In our sorority (Alpha Delta Pi) we used to start and end on a positive. I am going to try that in this post. I have a lot of things going through my mind, good and bad, so here it goes:
* I saw these shoes at GAP recently and fell in love! What makes it even better is that today's "groupon" is half off at GAP!!! You better believe that this girl purchased one:)
*I just found out that Kevin will get to go to Europe with his Master's Program next spring. While I am super jealous, I'm glad he gets to go and experience it. We aren't sure where he is going yet. He thinks either Paris or Madrid. Hopefully one day, we can go together:)
*Why do I always feel like as soon as I get my laundry put away, I have an even bigger pile waiting for me to wash. What is this about...we don't even have kids yet, give a girl a break--aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
*I have recently heard of so many deaths. This makes me so sad but it also makes me appreciate life and the people in it so much more. I have recently been struggling with some thyroid issues. It isn't easy. I feel awful and the people around me are getting really frustrated because they can't do anything to help. I went for bloodwork yesterday so hopefully they will keep me off the medicine and I will get back to normal soon. There are so many illnesses and deaths that I hear of on a daily basis. When I hear about them, it just makes my problems (stressed over school/work, laundry, health...) seem so insignificant.
*I am so so so excited for tailgating, I mean, football season to start. The biggest game of the year (for our state) will be here in a couple weeks. I wonder what I'll wear??? GO CARDS!!!
*Yesterday, My sister-in-law, Laurie and I (for moral support of the mom) took Karley (my 2 year old neice) to her very first dance class. It was SO funny to see her with the other girls. She went home and told her dad all about what she learned. They did tap and ballet. She was AMAZED over the tap shoes. When we got in the car to go home, the first thing she said was "mommy, karley shoes." She then told us she wanted a purple or pink leotard with a skirt so she could twirl. Being the first daughter, granddaughter, and neice, I think we have created a monster. She is too funny and I can't wait to go to her first recital. And yes, I will be the crazy aunt taking pictures like the paparazzi !
*I was in Hobby Lobby this past week and saw CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE to decorate for the holidays but I'm not ready to look at these things when it is 90+ outside. On that note, I realize it is also back to school time but I don't want to be trying on any winter coats this time of year either. I want the summer to last as long as possible. I want to live the rest of the warm weather months in cotton dresses and gladiators. Please don't wish otherwise:(
*I couldn't go on and on bragging about Karley when my other neice, Chloe started middle school this week. I am cutting and coloring her hair tonight so I am excited to hear all about it.
*Babies, babies everywhere! This is an invitation for my best friend Lindsay's baby shower coming up. I can't wait to post pictures of her showers and the decorations I have made. In other baby news, my sister-in-law is pregnant and due in December with a boy-Gabe. We are so excited for her, Chris, and Chloe, and I can't wait to be an aunt-again! I also recently found out that my cousin, Betsie, is pregnant too! Finally, I have some more baby news that I can't share yet but I am super excited about. I will tell you all soon but just for the record--IT IS NOT ME! Kevin and I are waiting until at least the spring when we are both done with school.
*Even though the weather has been really warm out, the humidity has finally gone down. It has been so pretty this week. I would LOVE weather like this year round!
*I told you I would end on a positive:) Guess who is getting hair extensions next friday..ME! It has always been a dream of mine to have long hair but because of my health issues, it just breaks off at the end and won't grow. Trust me, I've tried everything! I decided this year, I would save up and take all of my birthday money and put towards my hair. Hopefully this will help my hair to grow since my ends won't be exposed. Either way, I am really excited about it. I will be sure to post pictures.
*Sorry this post it so long. It always feels good to clear your mind. Thanks for listening:)
